This new Friday nite weekly is curated by Jason (DJ SPUN) - also a curator of the last 8 years of PS1’s Saturday Warm-Ups series!, plus the Galaxie and Donuts crews: Lovefingers (Black Disco, RVNG), Justin Miller (DFA) & Jacques Renault (DFA, Runaway) and Alison Childs (Galaxie, Donuts!). Each PUBLIC SCHOOL PARTY features resident DJs from Galaxie, Rong Music & Donuts! plus resident and visiting video artists. We’re excited to have this rad little nook in the lower east side where we’ll be experimenting with different spaces in the building as we grow and welcome various artists in sound, video and light. All the meanwhile, we’ll have amazing music all night long! These nights will primarily feature DJ danceparties plus visual experimentations and less on the live music performance element which means MORE TIME FOR DANCING!
